I have a wide range of students in my classroom with a wide range of interests. Many students are interested in reading while others are interested in math. I want my students to get a taste of all subjects and discover what they like. There are many students in my room who are constantly wondering how things work and are made. I want to tap into this interest and give them games, activities, and problems that will allow them to use their problems solving skills. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) curriculum gives students the opportunity to find their interests and explore these realms of education.
