My students are able to get breakfast on half days and provided healthy and filling snacks when they came to school hungry or were still hungry after they ate breakfast or lunch. My students and I no longer have to worry about food and can focus more on learning. This has created a safe and comfortable climate in my classroom for other students in other grades as well. The cups and straws also provided an added need for kids who forgot their water bottles at home due to the school having refillable water stations and no longer water fountains. \r\n\r\nIn addition to the healthy snacks and cups, the recess materials was an incredible addition to indoor recess during the cold months. They were able to play with each other, be creative, and not just watch a movie during that time.
