They absolutely loved the idea that a minor scrape or paper cut wouldn't disrupt their day anymore, and—of course—their eyes lit up when they saw the package of lollipops tucked inside the supply box!We are already putting these vital resources to use. Just this past week, a student got a minor paper cut while assembling a packet, and instead of having to pack up their things, find a pass, and make the long trek across the school to the nurse's office, we were able to handle it right here. I handed them a Band-Aid and gave them a lollipop to clear away the stress of the accident, and they were patched up and back to learning in under two minutes flat. Having these supplies readily available has saved us an immense amount of instructional time.Moving forward, our next steps are to keep this first-aid station organized and accessible not just for my room, but as a hub to support other teachers and classrooms in our hallway.
