These devices have allowed various adults throughout the building to have conversations with my students when that was always possible before. When there is a new word needed, we are quickly able to include the word and image on the board, and students can be introduced to it. Students are quick to grab a device when needing to request something that they are unable to say. \r\nThese iPads also allow students to work on their math and reading interventions and curriculum online components. \r\n\r\nWith all of these materials, we have been able to work on each student's vocabulary and speech throughout our entire day in various ways that give students a voice they did not have before, or there was a difficulty understanding.\r\n\r\nWe appreciate the continuous support from each of you more than you will ever know. I have been able to put their pictures on their individual bins, and when their schedule says, they match the bin and work on the task inside. When students pull out their bin, they look forward to what task is inside, sometimes it is a worksheet or it is a velcro task card match. The bins create a space where I can pre-set the bins, and the students need very little prompting to get their bin, set up the task, complete it and put it back. In our classroom, we would not be able to have our independent bins as productive and accessible due to the space it tables. These allow them all to be in one area and are a great addition to our class. We are extremely grateful for all the support we receive from our outside support system. We would not be as successful without the group of support we receive.
