Since I started working at the New Castle School District, I have not been able to provide enough calculators for all my students to use without them having to share or make do with partially working screens. As you can imagine, it is difficult to teach when students do not have the necessary materials. Previously, much of my lesson time was spent ensuring students had pencils to take notes with, being interrupted by a hand-crank pencil sharpener that most students struggled to use, and managing complaints about sharing broken calculators.\r\n\r\nSince your donation, my students have flourished with working materials. I no longer have to worry about the logistics of getting everyone set up for class. There is now a working calculator at all 30 desks, an overflow of pencils available, and an easy-to-use pencil sharpener. Students are now able to collect materials with ease and independence. This creates fewer distractions, less anxiety for me, and most importantly, more learning time. I have also noticed that the students have been extra careful with these new materials, which shows me they are equally grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1776817997511,"projectUrl":"project/no-pencil-no-calculator-no-problem-w/10196637/","projectTitle":"No Pencil? As soon as the box came in, the students were eager to gather around, and we shared a special moment unboxing everything together. Their faces lit up with joy as they discovered each item inside. It truly brought a sense of excitement and positivity into our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe coloring materials have been a huge hit. Students have already been using them to express their creativity, and it has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm. The games you which was included already had a tremendous benefit, especially during this time of state testing. Your contribution is far more than a simple donation of materials—it is an investment in my students' confidence, curiosity, and future success. \r\n\r\nFor many of my students, access to reliable calculators has always been inconsistent. Some share devices, I've have to borrow from other teachers, and sometimes I just didn't have enough. Your donation has completely resolved this problem. My students are truly appreciative, and the impact has already been remarkable. The games have become a meaningful part of our brain break routine, something the students now work very hard to earn. Having this positive incentive has noticeably increased their motivation, focus, and willingness to push through challenging tasks.\r\nThey absolutely love the variety of games and resources you provided. Whether it's strategy, teamwork, or quick thinking, each game brings something exciting and engaging to our classroom. Even more impressive is how respectful they are with the materials. They take pride in keeping the games in good condition because they value the opportunity you've given them.\r\nWatching them collaborate, take turns, and support one another during game-play has been a wonderful highlight. The copper wire will be an exciting project where students will create circuits and explore electricity through real experiments, which makes abstract science concepts come alive in a tangible and memorable way.\r\nThe highlighters are helping my students build study skills by identifying key vocabulary and important details in our readings and lab write-ups, giving them tools to become more independent learners.
