The sharpeners have made it much easier for students to quickly get ready to learn, while the chalk markers and cardstock give us new ways to make our learning visible and creative. The stress balls, squishies, sensory rings, and textured stickers have also given students quiet tools they can use to help themselves stay focused and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nI love watching students take ownership of these new materials and learn how to use them responsibly. Whether they are creating with the colorful markers, making something to share with the class, or choosing a sensory tool when they need a little extra support, these resources are helping us create a classroom where students can learn in different ways. We will continue using them throughout the year during our lessons, small-group work, and independent learning time.
