As a high school counselor, students often come into my office on some of their hardest days. Sometimes they need help with school, sometimes they are dealing with things at home or with friends, and sometimes they simply need a quiet place to sit, take a minute, and know that someone cares.\r\n\r\nThe items you provided have made such a difference. The warm lighting and little comforts have helped turn my office into a place students genuinely want to come. They grab a piece of candy, sit down, and often start talking. The feminine hygiene products have also been incredibly helpful. Students know they can quietly come to my office and get what they need without having to feel embarrassed or explain themselves. Being able to meet those basic needs with dignity is such a simple thing, but it can make a huge difference in a student's day.\r\n\r\nWhat means the most to me is that these resources have helped me create more than just an office. They have helped create a space where my students know they are welcome, cared for, and supported. Sometimes it is the smallest things that help a student feel comfortable enough to walk through my door, and once they are there, it can open the door to a much bigger conversation. Thank you for helping me give my students a place where they can feel safe, cared for, and never ashamed to ask for what they need. ❤️","fullyFundedDate":1787397717768,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-caring-counseling-office/10439351/","projectTitle":"Creating a Caring Counseling Office","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10575077_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1785884129857","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10575077"},{"teacherId":6401640,"projectId":10389362,"letterContent":"On behalf of our students and the entire high school science department, thank you for making this wish list a reality. Because of your incredible generosity and support, our students now have access to laboratory equipment that will make a lasting impact for years to come.\r\nThe science supplies you helped provide will not only benefit my chemistry students but will also be shared throughout our entire high school science department. These materials will be used every week and reused for many years, allowing countless students to explore science through rich, hands-on laboratory experiences.\r\nBefore your support, our department had only three working hot plates, two molecular model kits, and no operational distillation kit to share among five science classrooms. With large class sizes, this made many higher-level laboratory activities difficult—or even impossible—to conduct. Your generosity changes that. The additional supplies allow more students to have direct lab time to build, manipulate, and observe scientific concepts firsthand.\r\nI am already seeing the impact of your donation in the classroom. Thanks to the hands-on manipulation tools of the new molecular model kits, my students were able to grasp valence electrons and the covalent bonding of complex compounds much faster—and with significantly fewer mistakes—than in previous years. With the new distillation apparatus, students could easily visualize the true differences between physical and chemical changes by watching and discussing the distillation process. They were genuinely excited to watch the process and asked higher-level questions than past classes.\r\nYour investment is much more than a donation of classroom supplies—it is an investment in curiosity, discovery, and helping make chemistry come alive for my students. Your kindness will have a lasting impact on our classrooms for many years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1785187028666,"projectUrl":"project/science-equipment-needed-for-hands-on-la/10389362/","projectTitle":"Science Equipment Needed for Hands-on Labs to Last for Years!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Contreras","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6401640_orig.jpg?crop=640,640,x0,y38&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1630693958385","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6401640"},{"teacherId":4819774,"projectId":10310389,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity, and for encouraging more learning in my Aquatic Biology classes. The new nets will be used for our aquatic entomology projects. Specifically, these new resources will allow more students the access for collections. It is a big part of this class, and it is a project that students really enjoy.\r\n\r\nThe reaction from students was one of gratitude. I usually have students make their own nets, but now, thanks to donors like you, we won't have to spend as much time making nets. Students can spend more time getting ready for the field trips and collections.\r\n\r\nThe next step with our entomology collections is to start our own bio-monitoring project. Aquatic invertebrates are excellent indicator species for aquatic systems. Being able to collect, and correctly identify, the orders of insects in our area will allow us to keep track of diversity over the years. This is my hope, and with new materials like these my students have more of an opportunity to contribute","fullyFundedDate":1783279481374,"projectUrl":"project/heterogeneity-of-aquatic-systems/10310389/","projectTitle":"Heterogeneity of Aquatic Systems","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Stock","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4819774"},{"teacherId":4431437,"projectId":10376546,"letterContent":"Thank you for the generous donation that provided funding to purchase tissue posters for our Anatomy and Physiology class.
