When our \"Fishy Friends & Plant Power\" aquaponic garden materials arrived, the room instantly filled with excitement, wide eyes, and so many questions. The moment the fish were introduced, my students were completely hooked. They gathered around, naming them, watching their every move, and quickly taking ownership of their new classroom friends. One of the sweetest moments was seeing students gently feed the fish and then rush over to check on the plants, already beginning to understand how everything works together.\r\n\r\nOur aquaponic garden has become a special part of our daily routine. Students are observing, measuring, and recording plant growth while also learning how to care for the fish and keep the system balanced. They love being little scientists, making predictions and sharing their discoveries with each other. It has brought so much joy, teamwork, and curiosity into our classroom, and even students who are usually quiet are eager to participate and share what they notice.\r\n\r\nAs we continue this journey, we are excited to explore even more. Students will be testing new plants, tracking their progress, and learning how to take care of our environment in meaningful ways. This project has grown so much more than plants. It has grown confidence, responsibility, and a love for learning.
