Our first class consisted of 8th grade students that are now in their senior year at high school! Our classroom now consists of 5-8th grade and has already had hundreds of students utilize it in the first 4 years! With this level of use, our peripherals have definitely started to show a steady decline. We have lost a lot of controllers over the years from wear and tear. \r\n\r\nSome students have adapted by learning to play on keyboard and mouse, but others have struggled with the slight learning curve of it. I understand the struggle. I myself have never fully learned the keyboard and mouse configuration for most fast-paced games. The students rush to class asking if they can read on the floor. The kids take turns with the new books and they love the comfy headphones. We use our markers to build the school community through letters to third grade pen pals and thankful notes to school employees weekly.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I'm grateful for any help I can get with providing a quality education to my fifth graders. It is a huge help to me just knowing that there are other people that care about my students as much as I do. I had a great time preparing the classroom for my new group. One of their favorite activities is to listen to stories.
