The standing desks and active stools will give my students more choice and flexibility in the classroom. This will be beneficial to students who have a hard time sitting still for long periods of time. The standing desks will allow them to move and/or stand without being a distraction to their peers. The active stools promote movement, similar to wobble stools. This allows students to be able fidget. They also have adjustable height, which allows students at the standing desk to sit if the need arises. Standing desks give students the chance to move and collaborate while they are working. Having a variety of seating options available, will better meet the needs of my students and promote a commitment to learning. It will also empower my students by offering them choices and allowing them to have some control of their environment.
