Our first class consisted of 8th grade students that are now in their senior year at high school! Our classroom now consists of 5-8th grade and has already had hundreds of students utilize it in the first 4 years! With this level of use, our peripherals have definitely started to show a steady decline. We have lost a lot of controllers over the years from wear and tear. \r\n\r\nSome students have adapted by learning to play on keyboard and mouse, but others have struggled with the slight learning curve of it. I understand the struggle. I myself have never fully learned the keyboard and mouse configuration for most fast-paced games. Thank you so much for investing in my class. At Open House the kids were excited to see their new classroom. The purple rugs are a hit! The students rush to class asking if they can read on the floor. The kids take turns with the new books and they love the comfy headphones. We use our markers to build the school community through letters to third grade pen pals and thankful notes to school employees weekly.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I'm grateful for any help I can get with providing a quality education to my fifth graders. It is a huge help to me just knowing that there are other people that care about my students as much as I do. I had a great time preparing the classroom for my new group. Watching how excited each family was to start the new school year was wonderful. With your help, we are off to a terrific start. I have several students with different needs and being able to bring the noise level down in the classroom while we are working on our devices has been so very beneficial. \r\nThis has also made a great impact on student focus. Students are less distracts by other children's devices. They can fully focus on what they are working on, math, reading, intervention, testing or listening to books without the disruption of other students devices. One of their favorite activities is to listen to stories. They even have a waiting list for the special Harry Potter and Secret Garden books. They LOVE how beautifully made those books are. Some of my students don't have such beautiful books at home so it's great to let them enjoy them.\r\n\r\nWe really appreciate the books as well as the quality headphones and the bookmarks. So many students enjoy using the bookmarks they decorated themselves.
