Having tools to help them return to calm so that work can be completed is a tremendous help. My students were so excited when the boxes started to arrive. They all wanted to see what was new. They all were so excited to use the sensory tools that had arrived and were new to them. \r\n My students really enjoy the infinity cubes and they really help them stay on task as they get to move their hand. The putty has also been a big hit as many need that stimulation to help with staying on task. The sensory squares help some of my students meet a need that is something that they like to feel. Those squares are very calming and restoring to some of them. The ball pit is also a big hit when they need a moment to bring themselves back to calm after getting frustrated. \r\n To have all of these items is a huge benefit to my students and something that was unreachable until this project was met. I sincerely appreciate all of these items and the way that they help us daily in our classroom. When my students walked in and saw the wobble stools, math tools, and STEM supplies, their eyes lit up. They were so excited—some even said it felt like Christmas! The wobble stools have been a huge hit. My students love being able to move a little while they work, and I've noticed they're staying more focused during lessons. It's such a great way to support all types of learners.\r\n\r\nWe've already put the new STEM materials to good use! One of our favorite projects so far was a challenge to build the tallest freestanding tower using only index cards and tape. You should've seen the teamwork, the laughter, and the creative thinking happening around the room. It was such a fun and meaningful learning moment, and it never would've happened without your support.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're working on measurement and geometry. The students are using tools to explore shapes and angles, and next up is a fun project where they'll design their own playgrounds using what they've learned.
