I am asking for a variety of books on various grade levels for my students to be able to check out on a daily basis to take home in a protected book bag. The books would reinforce skills taught in class and provide much needed practice to increase fluency and comprehension. With strong reading skills, my students could enjoy the opportunity to be leaders as they mature. With daily access to books on their reading level no matter their grade allows them to read books independently. This solidifies skills, instills confidence and helps attain the joy of reading. My students would also be learning responsibility as they learn to take care of borrowed property and follow through on assignments. It would be a wonderful daily occurrence to see the excitement of my students as they looked through a variety of books available to them to enjoy at home...especially since some do not have access to books. Please help bring the availability of books to borrow on a nightly basis to my classroom so my students can be leaders tomorrow!
