A Chromebook that is touchscreen would be beneficial to my students. A computer that allows my students to use headphones consistently is even more important for them. A touchscreen allows my students who struggle with fine motor skills to access information a little easier. A computer with consistently working sound is even more important for my students. My struggling readers use reading and math programs that read things out loud as part of the instruction. This type of exposure will help get them more prepared for the state tests that are taken on the computer. We currently have classroom computers, but we are slowly losing them due to being outdated and irreparable. Having two new Chromebooks that we could rely on to work consistently would be wonderful!
