This journal will be used by students to draw, sketch, jot down their ideas or create thumbnail sketches as they draw inspiration for future art projects. They have had so much fun creating a functional utilitarian piece of art. I think their favorite part was embellishing the front with metal gears and creating a leather closure for their journal. Inside the journal there are pockets and envelopes along with drawing and writing papers which can be removed or new papers can be added in as it gets full. \r\nI am so grateful that you took the time to invest in my students and my classroom. They truly love to express themselves through art and show the world what they can do! They are the leaders who will shape our tomorrow. I can't even begin to describe how grateful and excited we are to do this project, \"The Hair of Zoe Fleefenbacher\". This project is based on a book about a teacher who learns from her student, that sometimes even teachers need to see things through a different lens. I came up with this project because my students get to practice drawing faces and learn about head shapes. Then they can incorporate zentangle designs using their imagination where the sky is the limit.
