With individual headphones and keyboards available in our classroom, students are able to use their iPads more effectively and independently. The headphones allow them to focus on instructional videos, interactive lessons, reading support, and programs such as Edpuzzle and Exact Path without distracting the students around them. The keyboards have also made longer writing assignments, constructed responses, and research activities much easier for students to complete.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest benefits has been seeing students become more focused and willing to work independently. Having the right tools removes some of the small frustrations that can quickly become barriers for middle school students. Instead of worrying about finding headphones or struggling to type a paragraph on an iPad screen, they can get started and concentrate on the actual assignment.\r\n\r\nThe students are especially excited that these materials are available right in our classroom when they need them. Students who previously avoided activities that required a lot of typing or listening have been more willing to participate because they now have the tools to be successful.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for investing in my students and our classroom.
