A class set of Esperanza Rising will allow my students to complete individualized and differentiated reading activities. With such a broad spectrum of reading abilities, I can more easily adapt the reading process through the use of individual books for each student. The donations for this project will increase reading comprehension as well as bring a joy of reading to my reluctant readers. Students tend to enjoy novel reading. The current literature books we have available are 15+ years old and times have changed. I have read student reviews of Esperanza Rising and the turnout seems to show that students truly appreciate this novel.
