These class sets of novels will allow me to share high-interest, science fiction books with my diverse group of students. Each set works for the different reading levels of my students, meaning each group will get to enjoy science fiction without being frustrated by the vocabulary and content. My inclusion class will get to enjoy reading "The Giver" and learning about dystopian societies, where being just like everyone else turns out to be problematic for the main character Jonas. My 8th Grade class will be shocked and wowed by "The Hunger Games", where the main character struggles with the balance of being a leader and a teen. My English 1 class will be challenged by "The House of The Scorpion", where the main character struggles to find his unique identity in a world where being cloned is normal.
