Your kindness helped us provide students with valuable tools and resources during Suicide Awareness Week, September 6–12, 2026.\r\n\r\nThanks to your donations, our staff and students in our Occupational Studies program worked together to prepare fidget materials for distribution throughout the week. As students learned breathing techniques, identified trusted adults and safe contacts they could turn to during difficult times, and discussed ways to manage stress and anxiety, they also received fidget items to help them practice calming strategies.\r\n\r\nAlthough I cannot share photographs of students receiving these items, please know that they were genuinely appreciated. The fidgets sparked meaningful conversations about stress, anxiety, and the importance of recognizing when we need additional support. Our hope is that these simple tools will help students manage overwhelming moments and feel more prepared to navigate the challenges they face.\r\n\r\nThe response was so enthusiastic that we quickly ran out of fidgets! We hope to secure additional donations so we can continue providing these resources to even more students throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nYour generosity provided more than fidget toys. It created opportunities for important conversations about mental health and reminded our students that they are valued, supported, and never alone.\r\n\r\nAs a school counselor, I know that sometimes the smallest gestures open the door to the most meaningful conversations. Your willingness to invest in our students' emotional well-being has helped us create a school environment where asking for help, practicing healthy coping strategies, and supporting one another are encouraged.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us support student wellness, one mind at a time. Thanks to your kindness, we were able to purchase 38 new Chromebook chargers for students who otherwise would not have had access to one.\r\n\r\nWith students transporting their Chromebooks between home and school each day, chargers are frequently lost, damaged, or broken. Last month, we had several hundred students who could not be assigned chargers because our school inventory was depleted. Your donation helped us address this immediate need, and all 38 chargers were quickly distributed to students who desperately needed them.\r\n\r\nYou might be surprised by just how excited students were to receive a Chromebook charger. They were thrilled simply to have one, but they were absolutely over the moon when they discovered they were receiving a brand-new charger of their own! Their excitement and gratitude were wonderful reminders that something we might consider a small necessity can make an enormous difference in a student's daily life.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, 38 more students were able to charge their Chromebooks and begin their coursework right away rather than sitting in class frustrated and unable to complete assignments. Your donations also provided peace of mind to parents and teachers, who no longer had to worry about these students falling behind simply because they lacked an essential piece of technology.\r\n\r\nYour gift did more than purchase 38 Chromebook chargers. It removed a barrier to learning for 38 students. It gave them the tools they needed to participate fully in their classes, complete assignments at home, and take ownership of their education.\r\n\r\nAs a school counselor, I see firsthand how something as simple as not having the right supplies can create unnecessary stress for students and their families. Your willingness to step in and meet this need demonstrates to our students that there are people in their community who genuinely care about their education and success.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and helping us ensure that a missing charger does not stand in the way of their academic success. Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in helping our students stay engaged, manage distractions, and focus on the tasks in front of them.\r\n\r\nOur students attend four 90-minute classes each day, and as you can imagine, sitting still and maintaining focus for that length of time can be challenging. Through this project, students were given the opportunity to select a fidget toy they felt would best meet their individual needs. Rather than simply handing every student the same item, we wanted them to have a voice in choosing a tool that would help them succeed.\r\n\r\nThe response has been wonderful! One teacher shared that after students received their fidgets, she noticed fewer distractions among several students who previously had difficulty staying focused. It was encouraging to hear that something so simple could make a noticeable difference in the classroom.\r\n\r\nWhat touched me most, however, was what happened afterward. Not every student wanted a fidget when they were initially offered. Yet, several days later, students began coming to my office asking if they could still have one. Unfortunately, we had already run out, and I had to promise them I would do my best to get more. Their requests reminded me that students sometimes need time to recognize what tools might help them and that having those resources available when they are ready is important.\r\n\r\nYour generosity means so much more than providing a fidget toy. It sends a powerful message to our students that people in their community care about them, recognize their challenges, and are willing to invest in their everyday success. Sometimes the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference in a student's school day.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us create a learning environment where students feel supported, empowered to recognize their individual needs, and equipped with tools to help them succeed.
