The students were so excited to set up the animal enclosure and to fill it will all things needed for a healthy stay. Unfortunately, a student knocked a glass panel, and it shattered. The company doesn't stock the enclosure anymore, and recommended we have a piece of glass cut for it. So, we have contacted a local glass company, and they are coming out to measure for the size of the glass piece we need. \r\n Until then, we have a temporary barrier, and are currently looking for land based animals outside to bring in to study. The impact of this grant is vast, although we are missing a glass panel. Students learned how to write a grant, and researched the materials we would need to bring nature into our space. Thank you so much for your generous donations. Since this enclosure is for our classroom, my hope os to get it repaired and up and running each year with future classes. Your impact will grow! \r\n Thank you so much for investing in my class, their love of nature, and supplying tools to support their curiosity.","fullyFundedDate":1766679433598,"projectUrl":"project/help-me-bring-nature-into-the-classroom/9733281/","projectTitle":"Help Me Bring Nature Into The Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4605064_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1501722944503","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/virginia-jones"},{"teacherId":58811,"projectId":9124898,"letterContent":"My students were over the moon about our new microscope! There is so much for us to explore, and they've just had a small preview. So far, we've been able to view different cells, tissues, and bacteria. Many of my students had never used a microscope, so it was a thrilling experience!\r\n\r\nWe are looking forward to exploring nature through our microscope, which fits in perfectly with our curriculum of Ecosystems. We will also continue to explore different human cells in correlation to our Human Body Systems/Genetics/Cells unit. Some students have even requested to use it during our indoor recess on rainy days!\r\n\r\nHaving this tool in my classroom is really special because it is giving them a sneak-peek into middle school opportunities.
