Students will benefit from these books as teachers will be able to look at the latest literature regarding equity and culturally responsive practices and apply them in the classroom. The titles on this list are suggestions from professional journals and my professional librarian learning community and I feel like these will be an excellent start to the collection. While we do receive some professional development, not all of us are able to attend and some of our teachers would like to have professional titles on site. One of my professional goals this year is to start a professional collection for teachers that will be a circulating collection via the library.
