One meaningful moment that stands out is seeing students confidently ask for a snack when they need one, knowing their classroom is a safe place where their needs are acknowledged and met.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their reactions were full of excitement and relief. Many shared how hungry they felt in the afternoons, and others were thrilled to have their own water bottles readily available. Something as simple as a snack or band aid helped students feel cared for and supported, which immediately strengthened our classroom community. Each student was able to pick out a book bin of their choice and gather some books from the classroom library to add to them for independent reading time.
