With the organizational materials and classroom tools I received, I have managed to set up a structured and engaging classroom within a small space, and my young autistic learners have been able to settle into our community. These things have made it easier for my students to stay focused, feel calm, and build independence throughout the day. The books you helped provide were a good start to our class library, and the students enjoy perusing them during their free time. Our new rug and cozy reading corner have become safe, inviting spaces where students feel comfortable learning and connecting.\r\n\r\nA small update: The Pete the Cat set went out of stock, so I used the remaining funds to purchase other things, including a kind of lava tube fidget toy, pencil pouches, electronic writing tablets, and magnetic folder bins. The pencil pouches and magnetic bins have helped us to organize stray materials in the classroom further. The tablets have been incredibly helpful and motivating during writing times. Lastly, the lava tubes have been popular with the kids, and in particular, has served as a valuable tool to soothe and interest one student who is notably hard to motivate and can easily get dysregulated.\r\n\r\nAs a first-year teacher in a special classroom, it would have been very challenging to try to create this environment without you. Please know that your support has had a direct impact on students who truly needed it.
