This was one of those times. I knew that we had done something wonderful when I heard things like \" I love our classroom,\" and \"that is so pretty.\" I have also just heard \"ooohhs\" and \"aaaahhhs\" from my students as well each time that I put up a new decoration. Multiple adult staff have also come into our learning space and stated how lovely everything looks or how the paste vibe is clearly seen by them. I also know by the way that they take care of the classroom materials. They value each other and their learning space and so feel compelled to care for it. This was my goal the whole time. To create a visually inspiring learning space that would inspire my students creatively and build a stronger sense of community amongst them.\r\n\r\nMy students also love to create!! They love to build, draw, color and even design! I believe these behaviors are also inspired by our pastel learning space. I can't wait to see what else they create this year. I could not have provided this level of inspiration and community without your support of my project, so I hope that you can more clearly see the impact of your efforts. Thank you so much for you time and dedication! It means the world to me and my students!!","fullyFundedDate":1755887083519,"projectUrl":"project/inspiring-minds-requires-a-visually-insp/9457654/","projectTitle":"Inspiring Minds Requires a Visually Inspiring Classroom Environment","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lesia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9914754_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742581940096","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9914754"},{"teacherId":9914754,"projectId":9147645,"letterContent":"It is with great appreciation and excitement that I share that our supplies for the New Guinea Pig habitat arrived quickly and we have already put them to good use. My students took turns placing each item in her new space after we discussed and agreed upon where each item should go. It helped them to better understand the purpose of each item. \r\n\r\n I was so excited to show each item as it arrived and explain to the children its purpose and how it would help our little Guinea pig. Their eyes watched me with curiosity and amazement but they were truly stunned when they saw the new habitat put together with all of the new components and how different it was from her old habitat. They could not stop going over to the new habitat and watching or freely petting her or both! \r\n\r\nNow that we have had some time to openly observe our pet Guinea Pig in a habitat that is larger and affords her more space, will chart our questions about her needs and how she responds in her new space. The children will use data collection and scientific recording to collect notes about their observations in response to both our class questions and their individual questions.","fullyFundedDate":1742908134085,"projectUrl":"project/building-compassion-community-respons/9147645/","projectTitle":"Building Compassion, Community & Responsibility With an Adorable Class Pet","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lesia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9914754_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742581940096","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9914754"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_102280","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":266,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":17,"percentBlack":21,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":57,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":68.6,"schoolId":102280,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 536 on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 536","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-536/102280"}
