We read stories like Sideways Stories from Wayside School, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and Holes. It has been so meaningful having the opportunity to put the book Wonder into the children's hands. Having them read chapters as a class, with a partner or independently are providing them many ways to develop a deeper understanding of the text and make connections between their own lives and the lives of a special child like August. I read this book with my fourth graders last year, and am still being stopped in the hallway by current fifth graders telling me how they loved Wonder and wish they could reread it! I am looking forward to my students this year developing that same love for such an important book.","fullyFundedDate":1746787080939,"projectUrl":"project/the-gift-of-wonder/9301697/","projectTitle":"The Gift of Wonder","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pearce","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4939377_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1510527106815","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ariellepearce"},{"teacherId":1989401,"projectId":9796581,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in helping us bring a whole collection of Mo Willems books into our 1st grade classroom!
