In all my years teaching, I have never seen students motivated by an author as they are by Mo Willems. The few books Mo Willems books that are currently in my library are definitely fan favorites. It would be so wonderful to be able to expand this much loved collection! The Elephant and Piggie series' style of thinking and talking bubbles is a wonderful tool for my students with Autism, as they often struggle with perspective taking. It is so helpful to be able to highlight what the characters are thinking in a playful and funny way. The Pigeon and Knuffle Bunny series would be fantastic read alouds! I often create center activities to go along with books that we have read as a class. The laminator and laminating film will help the materials that are created with the markers to be durable for little hands.
