These new books are doing so much more than filling our shelves, they're helping my students build essential literacy skills such as making inferences, identifying themes, analyzing character motivations, and deepening their understanding of historical events through fiction. With each new text, students are not only practicing reading strategies but also expanding their empathy, curiosity, and critical-thinking skills.\r\nIn our classroom, reading is an active, joyful experience. Students read independently every day, participate in small-group discussions, annotate their books, and share recommendations with one another. Our library has become a true hub of excitement as students browse the shelves eagerly and often trade books like they're sharing their favorite discoveries.\r\nI'm especially thrilled to share that the Alan Gratz novels have become incredibly popular. Several students who were previously reluctant readers are now fully immersed in his books, captivated by the fast-paced plots and powerful historical connections. It has been amazing to watch them choose reading during free time, discuss the stories with their classmates, and ask when we can add even more titles.","fullyFundedDate":1757191274501,"projectUrl":"project/building-our-class-library/9651200/","projectTitle":"Building Our Class Library","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Greenwood","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10224424"},{"teacherId":2220796,"projectId":9850696,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations that make engaging learning possible!
