Each week for 8 weeks, our high school students went in (as pairs) to provide friendship activities and spread positive messages.\r\nTwo activities that stand out are our story of the \"warm fuzzies\" and also our snowman activity. The first one involved our creation of warm fuzzies using the pom poms and googly eyes we received from our grant. The high schoolers read a story to the elementary students about how spreading kindness makes everyone feel warm and fuzzy inside. Then each student and classroom received a warm fuzzy (that our high schoolers made) as a tangible reminder to be kind. The second activity involved making snowmen together with the snowman craft kit we received with the grant. This was a fun activity leading up to the school break and the little kids loved it so much!\r\nEach of these activities meant so much to all the students involved. Your thoughtful contribution has made a significant impact on our school community, especially during the holiday season.\r\nFor many of our elementary students, the gift of a new soccer ball or football brings not only a sense of excitement but also an opportunity to engage in healthy physical activity and teamwork. These sports items provide an outlet for energy and promote collaboration, helping students build relationships with their peers, stay active, and develop essential skills both on and off the field.\r\nThe books you donated have sparked a love for reading in many of our students. For young learners, access to a variety of reading materials is crucial to their academic growth. The stories and information these books provide expand their horizons, improve literacy, and encourage a lifelong passion for learning. For some students, these books are the first they've had of their own, and your donation has truly inspired their curiosity and creativity.\r\nAdditionally, the anti-anxiety coloring books have been especially appreciated. Many of our students face various challenges that affect their mental well-being, and these thoughtful coloring books provide a calming and therapeutic activity. They help students express themselves, manage stress, and feel more centered during busy or challenging times. This thoughtful addition has provided students with a meaningful tool to navigate their emotions in a constructive way.\r\nYour support during this time of year has made the holidays brighter for our students and helped to foster a sense of community and care within our school.
