The use of calculators and whiteboards are almost a daily activity in my classroom. Students are able to use their whiteboards for guided practice, to record modeled strategies, to work independently, and share their thinking. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. Calculators are a necessary tool for both the class and the final examination. They are used every day. What becomes a problem is the fact that I don't have enough for these resources to be 1:1. Every student needs access to these, especially now with virtual and hybrid learning taking place. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether they have their materials or not. You will help them find that focus and success!
