These math resources have been so fun to use and watch my students interact with. In this 4th grade math curriculum, parts of it are a little gamified, and showing my students how to play the games, and watching the subsequent \"aha!\" moments they have been having, simply because this resource provides a new way for them to learn and understand, has been amazing to a part of. I think one of the most important things I try to do as a teacher is lead my example. I tell my students when I need help and I own when I make a mistake. I told them when I brought out these resources that I fundraised for them and told complete strangers that I was struggling to teach math well, and I needed help. My one student looked at me, and said, \"You need help to sometimes?\" And I replied, \"Every. Single. Day.\" These math resources have helped me to change the way I teach math and helped me to show my students that I am a human, I am flawed, I make mistakes all the time, I have so much to learn, and the best thing to do when you need help is to ask for it and lean on your community. Your contribution is more than just a donation; it is a direct investment in the creative potential of our youth. Because of your kindness, our classroom is now equipped with the tools necessary to bridge the gap between static art and dynamic expression. It is truly inspiring to see a community of donors champion the arts, providing my students with the resources to explore new mediums and build confidence in their unique voices.\r\n\r\nThe moment the boxes arrived, the energy in the room was electric. My students were absolutely thrilled to unbox the high-quality markers and coloring books you provided. For many of them, having a brand-new set of vibrant, professional-grade tools feels like a true luxury. They spent the first few minutes simply testing the colors and marveling at how smoothly the ink flowed—a far cry from the dried-out supplies we often have to make do with. Watching their faces light up as they engaged with these materials was a powerful reminder of the profound impact your support has on their daily learning journey.\r\n\r\nThese materials are now the \"engine\" for our project. Students are using the coloring books as a foundation to practice color theory and precision, while the markers allow them to create the bold, high-contrast frames needed for our animation experiments. By using these tools to master shading and layering, they are developing the fine motor skills and patience required for complex artistic endeavors. Your support has turned a standard lesson into a highlight of their day, and we are so grateful to you for making this vision a reality.","fullyFundedDate":1764726619984,"projectUrl":"project/art-in-motion/9761439/","projectTitle":"Art in Motion","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Phillips","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9774246"},{"teacherId":9323048,"projectId":9855268,"letterContent":"My students love using their new dressing tools and toys! A student who once struggled to remain seated during group activities is now able to participate more comfortably with the help of a simple fidget tool. Another child who often felt overwhelmed by noise has found relief and confidence using noise-reducing headphones. Small changes like these create powerful transformations. When children feel regulated and supported, they are more open to learning, building friendships, and developing independence.\r\n\r\nYour donation also empowers our teachers and staff. Having access to a wider range of sensory supports allows them to respond more effectively to individual needs in real time. Instead of spending valuable instructional minutes trying to manage distress or discomfort, they can proactively offer tools that help students regain focus and emotional balance. This not only enhances learning outcomes but also fosters a classroom culture of empathy, understanding, and respect for differences.","fullyFundedDate":1764688876623,"projectUrl":"project/make-the-sensory-needs-fly-away/9866154/","projectTitle":"Make the Sensory Needs Fly Away","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Kahan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp61854_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1545350027911","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-kahan"},{"teacherId":61854,"projectId":9957829,"letterContent":"Each day the students know after we finish math it's MUSIC time.
