Our middle school librarian joined us. The 2 separate trips were just fantastic. The students learned all about the various resources available to them at the library. They learned about the different classes they can take for free, the games (board and video) they can borrow, as well as the wonderful books. After we took our tour, library staff helped all of the students make book marks. If I'm not too busy other days during my lunch period, they are allowed to come as well.\r\n\r\nThis club has truly brought out the creativity in my students. Learning vocabulary can oftentimes be dry and boring; I'm the first to admit this. I have been able to assign students to math websites (Delta, Khan) that enables my students to listen to worked out problems within their own \"think-zone\". In this case, with their headphones on, they can visit and re-visit problems that we have already encountered.\r\n \r\n They have also enjoyed the new look to the head phones as they feel like they have top notch equipment to use that others don't. It's been a revelation! It also makes them feel like they are being taken care of because I am able to provide them with maximum opportunities to succeed. It inspires some to go above and beyond because they feel like that's what they're getting from me. Which is true no matter what, of course.\r\n\r\n I want to thank you all again for donating to my project as the impact has been immediate and satisfying.
