Movement is crucial for students with disabilities. With this equipment, students will have the opportunity for meaningful movement in Physical Education class while maintaining safety. Each student will be provided with individual equipment to maintain social distancing and safety during this unprecedented time. My special needs students need this equipment to work on fine and gross motor skills, flexibility, and fitness concepts while maintaining appropriate safety measures. The products that I have chosen for this project will allow for my adapted physical education students a wide variety of fitness-based movements in order for them to maintain and/or improve their overall fitness. I look forward to teaching the students eye-hand coordination activities such as tossing and catching, hitting a target throwing underhand and overhand, using the fleece balls and scarves. Also working on footwork skills of running forward, backward and side to side, hopping, skipping, and jumping to the cones and poly spots.
