Because of YOU, my students can focus better in class and perform better because they no longer focus on their hunger and focus on the lesson. \r\n\r\nA snack is so simple yet its affect on students is incredible. For them to see that somebody cares enough about, not just their education, but their wellness as a whole, speaks volumes to these children. It gives them hope that, even in the harsh urban environment that surrounds them, there is goodness and that people do care for their overall wellbeing. In turn, they remember that kindness and share it with others. \r\n\r\nI thank you for caring about my students and for making my job a little bit easier to help students succeed. As a teacher, we feed a child in many ways. Feeding their stomachs, allows me to continue to feed their minds. This is the first year that I received all my materials before the first day of school, and I already see the impact it is making and how my students are having a more comfortable experience. Having a supply station where students can simply get up and grab a tissue or paper towel, use hand sanitizer, lotion, or any other similar items, without having to raise their hand and interrupt class and ask to go to the bathroom, has saved time, kept the lesson flowing and provided a sense of comfort among the students, giving them a feeling of belonging. The wall mounted file holders have allowed me to provide an area where students can easily sign in and out and grab a pass when they come in late or need to go somewhere.\r\n\r\nOther items, such as the command strips and power strips have allowed me to make a warm, welcoming, fun environment. Students come in and smile as they tell me how they love how well decorated my classroom is. The powestrips have been extra beneficial because they have provided me with more opportunities to put up decorative lights, a diffuser, and other fun things that require electricity. It's an extra touch that the students love and subconsciously motivates them. \r\n\r\nThe screen extender has been a game changer for me. It allows me to easily monitor students as they work on their computers while still being able to get my own work done at the same time. With the increase of technology and online assessments, cheating and the use of AI has unfortunately infiltrated classrooms. Having this screen extender helps me monitor and ensure everyone is staying on task and not going to any other websites.\r\n\r\nAll in all, this project has been a game changer in my classroom. The difference it is making is incredible and very noticable. It makes me wonder how I functioned before having everything I received from this project. From the bottom of my heart. My students are enjoying having access to the fans, especially on warmer days. Instead of becoming distracted by the heat or having to constantly fan themselves with papers or notebooks, students can use the mini fans when they need them and remain more comfortable and focused on their work.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when the fans arrived. They were genuinely surprised and happy because no one had ever done anything like this for them before. They even joked that I am now \"the coolest teacher!\" It has been wonderful to see how much they appreciate something that may seem small but makes a meaningful difference in their comfort and ability to stay focused.\r\n\r\nStudents are looking forward to being able to use the fans whenever they are needed, particularly during warmer days. They have quickly become a useful classroom resource and something the students are excited to have available.\r\n\r\nWe will continue using the fans throughout the school year whenever students need a little extra comfort on warmer days. Throughout the process, they were engaged, creative, and excited to learn. This project allowed them to explore history in a hands-on way, combining research with artistic expression.
