Having access to a printer for our classroom allows students to print their work which will be displayed in our class so students develop and maintain a sense of pride. Some students learn better through the use of concrete resources versus abstract, or digital resources. It is crucial for my class to be able to have a tactile piece of learning material in front of them. Having to read from a screen is harsh on their eyes and concentration. It is difficult for my students to type on a keyboard rather than writing with a pencil and paper. Having a printer would allow them to read with natural light and write using their fine motor skills. Bringing better resources to students will help make learning more efficient and accessible.
