Many of the stories also support social-emotional learning by exploring themes like friendship, perseverance, and kindness. Students are learning not only how to read more deeply but also how to connect personally with what they read.\r\nReading time in our classroom is one of the most joyful parts of the day! Students read both independently and in small groups, often followed by lively discussions about characters and themes. We also incorporate partner reading, where students take turns reading aloud and asking each other comprehension questions. Our goal is to make reading an active, engaging experience where everyone feels confident and curious.\r\nYes! Several students who were once hesitant readers have really come alive with the new selections. One student who used to avoid independent reading now eagerly shares predictions about what might happen next. Another has discovered a love for nonfiction and enjoys finding facts to share with classmates. It's been wonderful to see how access to fresh, interesting books has inspired so much enthusiasm for reading.","fullyFundedDate":1747334201517,"projectUrl":"project/reading-adventures/9109898/","projectTitle":"Reading Adventures","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bolt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5452170"},{"teacherId":9051823,"projectId":9350114,"letterContent":"Thank you everyone for your donations to our class. We've been using the stools during small group work and the floor seats during independent or partner work, which has made our space feel more inviting and flexible.\r\n\r\nThese new seating options have already made a big difference in helping students focus. The gentle movement of the wiggle stools gives an outlet for extra energy, which helps students stay engaged in lessons instead of feeling restless. The floor seats give students a cozy, grounded space where they can concentrate without the distractions of a traditional desk setup. I've noticed longer periods of sustained attention, especially during independent reading and writing.\r\n\r\nI can already see that this flexibility is helping them focus, collaborate, and feel more ownership of their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1744919302098,"projectUrl":"project/alternative-seating-and-fidgets-for-focu/9217275/","projectTitle":"Alternative Seating and Fidgets for Focus","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dusseau","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9987043_orig.jpg?crop=640,640,x0,y46&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743193016518","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9987043"},{"teacherId":9741683,"projectId":9046644,"letterContent":"As a school counselor at Hoover School Elementary, I am committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for our students.
