When students first saw the new iPad, computer, keyboard station, color printer, and printer ink, they were immediately curious and excited. Many of my students are highly motivated by technology, and these tools have helped them access learning in ways that feel meaningful and real. The iPad is now used daily to collect job training data during vocational tasks, allowing students to see their progress and understand expectations more clearly.\r\n\r\nThe color printer has been especially exciting for students. They love seeing their work printed in color, whether it is a job task checklist, a visual schedule, or a finished academic assignment. One student who often struggled with engagement now eagerly completes computer-based tasks so he can print his work and take it home to show his family. The computer and keyboard station has also become a favorite area in the room, where students practice typing, follow digital prompts, and build skills they will need in future job placements.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue using this technology as we expand our job training and life skills instruction. They will practice tracking work tasks, typing simple reflections, and using printed visuals to support independence. Your support has helped bridge the gap between school and real-world skills, and it has made learning more accessible and motivating for my students. Thank you for giving them tools that truly matter.","fullyFundedDate":1759730994803,"projectUrl":"project/new-classroom-technology/9657246/","projectTitle":"New Classroom Technology","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Scaduto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8166818_orig.jpg?crop=1158,1158,x0,y335&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739391003839","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8166818"},{"teacherId":8166818,"projectId":9588689,"letterContent":"Thank you for the incredible classroom supplies you provided for our high school students with intellectual disabilities. From the moment the boxes arrived, my students were excited and eager to help unpack everything. The whiteboard pens, scissors, glue sticks, desk organizers, headphones, and take-home folders are now part of our daily routine. Students use the whiteboards for guided practice and check-ins, which allows them to try answers without fear and build confidence. The new desk organizers have helped students take ownership of their materials, while the headphones allow for focused work during independent stations.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful moments came when we introduced the Insta Polaroid camera. We created a birthday board where each student gets an instant photo on their special day. Watching students smile, pose, and proudly show their pictures to classmates has helped build a strong sense of belonging and community. Many of my students thrive on routine and recognition, and this small addition has become one of the most joyful parts of our classroom culture. Students were genuinely amazed that the photo printed instantly, and several asked if they could keep their picture forever.\r\n\r\nNext, students are using these materials in an ongoing literacy project where they create personal mini-books. They are writing simple stories, illustrating them, and assembling their work using the new supplies. This project builds fine motor skills, communication, and self-expression, while also reinforcing independence. Because of your generosity, our classroom feels more organized, supportive, and engaging every single day.\r\n\r\nWith sincere thanks,","fullyFundedDate":1759730606281,"projectUrl":"project/snacks-fidgets-fun-rewards-that-moti/9588689/","projectTitle":"Snacks, Fidgets & Fun: Rewards That Motivate Young Minds!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Scaduto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8166818_orig.jpg?crop=1158,1158,x0,y335&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739391003839","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8166818"},{"teacherId":9357445,"projectId":9627175,"letterContent":"My students and I are so thankful for your donation. When I started teaching STEM this year, I was shocked with the lack of supplies and resources I needed to effectively run the engagements my students were most excited to do. \r\n\r\nOne of the engagements it helped was stop motion animation. Students love doing this engagement, but there wasn't any clay for the students to create their characters. Another engagement was snap circuits. Many of the favorite circuits couldn't be done because pieces had been broken or stolen. Now they can create every circuit. Mousetrap cars is another favorite, but there were no more kits I could make with the supplies. These are very expensive, so your donations really helped. Using the bridge designer app is fun for the students, but there wasn't any balsa wood for students to create their bridges. your donations have allowed them to create bridges so they can test how well they designed it. Another engagement is the ozobot evo. All of the ozobots were broken. Because of your help, students now have a working robot to program. \r\n\r\nThese aren't the only ways your donations helped. We are so grateful that you deided to fun this wish list of ours.
