It benefits our students to build a classroom that feels like home. Their strategies classroom is their safe space that allows them to build confidence and independence in order to build their willingness to participate in the general education classrooms. "Home is where the heart is." Every year our students get a new general education classroom. Each teacher has their own way to decorate, which can be very overwhelming for our students. By building a warm and bright strategies classroom, with quality products, I can keep their home base consistent with minimal changes. This helps my students start each year with less anxiety, which in turn makes it easier to transition into the new year.
