The stick horse has helped bring a game for my kindergarteners to life as we practice steady beat. \r\n\r\nThe cups will be utilized towards the end of the year as my 4th and 5th graders work on steady beat and creating patterns in a cup game we play. These high-interest, level-appropriate books have brought new energy to our classroom, especially for students who have been hesitant readers. These books are not only engaging but also teach important literacy skills such as character analysis, story sequencing, and understanding dialogue and humor in text. My students are learning to identify plot patterns and make predictions about what will happen next—skills that are essential for building reading fluency.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is an interactive and joyful experience. We read together in small groups, where I can provide individualized support, and students also have time for independent reading. The new books have been a huge hit during both of these activities. The students love the fun illustrations and the relatable characters, which make them eager to dive into the next page. \r\n\r\nThank you for helping me create a classroom where reading is exciting, inspiring, and accessible for all my students. We read it as a class and get to know the plot and discuss the lessons we can learn from it.
