My students are struggling with listening center interventions because of our broken, outdated, or just plain lack of headphones. Imagine Learning, a computer center we utilize at my school, requires students to listen very carefully for subtleties in language and with proper headphones. My students could benefit so much more from this amazing program and other listening centers with a classroom set of headphones. Programs like Imagine Learning and other listening center activities allow my English Language Learning students to practice and reinforce a variety of reading and language skills which is why it's important to have the necessary tools like headphones to ensure this intervention is a success in my classroom. Having a class set of headphones would allow me to incorporate more listening center inventions which would benefit my students. With these interventions, we can expect improved thinking and learning skills, better reading skills, and continuous student growth.
