When the materials arrived, I set them all up in the sensory area. My students were absolutely thrilled. Some of them jumped up and down with excitement and some dropped their backpacks and explored. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it was clear right away that these resources will make a meaningful difference in their daily learning experience. \r\n\r\nThe students are now using the materials as part of their daily emotional regulation routine, and the impact has been incredible. Having access to tools that help them calm their bodies and minds allows them to refocus, reduce frustrations and engage more confidently in their work. Because of this, we are more effective in supporting them reach academic success by having strong, academic and emotional resilience. \r\n\r\nOur next goal for our students is for them to be independent in regulating their emotions and generalizing skills so they can easily transition into a general education setting. These materials have opened the doors to increased engagement, problem, solving and genuine joy in learning. Math was made more fun with the magnetic ten-frames, the play dough, and the craft pom-poms.\r\n\r\nStudents really enjoy using the STEM manipulatives during their independent work time and all the craft materials have allowed me to make learning more hands-on for all students. \r\n\r\nSome of the materials were meant for organizational purposes and they have helped tremendously to organize daily materials.
