The items I have requested for my kindergarten class will help them to be engaged in learning. Kids learn by doing, by touching, by using materials provided. Due to COVID, use of hands-on materials has been limited due to safety concerns and cleaning of materials between individual use. Excessive, but necessary, time is being used to sanitize materials, reducing instructional time and/or use of hands on materials. Five year old students need these hands on materials and activities to learn. The items I have requested for my kindergarten students specifically pertain to objective-RF.K.3a-demonstrate basic knowledge of one-to-one letter-sound correspondences by producing the primary or many of the most frequent sounds for each consonant.
