Due to the Covid pandemic, many first grade students are struggling with grade level skills and have gaps in their learning. Filling in these gaps and making grade level progress is vital to their future. The materials requested in this grant proposal will help to meet students' individual needs and further their academic skills. Some of the materials will also be used to enhance whole group instruction. Specific standards that will be targeted with these materials include: RF.1.3; RL.1.10; 1.OA.1; 1.OA.2; 1.OA.6; 1.NBT.1; 1.NBT.2. (phonics, reading fluency, counting, number patterns, addition, subtraction, place value, and problem solving).
