Especially when it help them prepare important test like the SBAC. \r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was watching my students sit, chat and each the nutritional snacks while preparing for their SBAC test. Instead of worrying about not having lunch because they haven't eaten breakfast or their tummy's growling from hungry, they were able to focus on working together, asking questions, and doing their best. The treats have also become a fun way to celebrate growth, positive choices, and hard work. Seeing their faces light up over something so simple reminds me that encouragement goes a long way, especially in a Title I classroom.
