The materials and supplies that I am requesting are essential items that will be beneficial towards academics and social interactions for my classroom. Each item requested was carefully thought out and will be used for classes to come.
It is my desire to supply my class with supplies and materials that will continue to enrich their academics and socially interactions with their peers. Due to COVID-19 each student needs their own set of supplies and at my current school families are unable to supply their child with some of these necessities.
I am requesting items like scissors, glue, pencils, and paper which will be divided out to my class to ensure each student is able to be successful in class, without the worry of not having the tools to complete our classwork. We have interactive journals which focus on language standards(L.3.1-6). Our interactive journals give the kids a chance to draw, color and cut out artwork and relay it to many language standards, giving them the opportunity to learn but still be creative.
The items that will encourage positive social interactions are mostly outdoor items, like jump ropes, balls and chalk. Students will be encouraged to share and learn how to use materials with a partner while maintaining a safe environment. (PCE.3.1)
