Nature is an Enduring Idea .This means humans throughout time have been surrounded by nature and our lives are interconnected by nature. Artists, through time have created art that interpret and communicate the artist's vision of the natural world and man's place in the world. VA:Cn10.K.1 Create art that tells a story about a life experience. VA:Cn10.1.1 Identify times , places, and reasons by which students make art outside of school. VA:Cn10.2.1 Create works of art about events in home, school, or community life. VA:Cn10.3.1 Develop a work of art based on observations and surroundings. VA:Cn10.4.1 Create works of art that reflect community and cultural traditions. VA:cn10.5.1 Apply formal and conceptual vocabularies of art and design to view surroundings in new ways through art-making. Students will create seasonal pieces that describe nature. This will also tie in with Nevada Academic Content Standards Listening and Speaking Standard: Presentation of Ideas K-5.
