When students finish with their project, there are a variety of activities they can do, one of them is reading. Many students make this choice because of their love for reading - and art! \r\nStudents cozy up in the reading corner and enjoy an informational book about their favorite artist, a book about a concept we have learned about - such as color mixing, a book about an art career - such as an architect, or a funny book about art supplies that come to life. Students love to read with their friends, especially rereading a book I have shared with them. Another favorite are the rubber bands used to make bracelets. The older students use different colors to create unique patterns. And, they get to take it with them! They have fun putting together puzzles of famous paintings they have learned about.
