Because of your generosity, my students were able to use 3D printers to turn digital designs into real, physical objects. Many of my students are familiar with technology at home, but this project showed them how technology is used as a creative and problem-solving tool in school. They learned how to design in Tinkercad, revise their work, and understand how digital ideas become real-world products.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students was watching their designs print layer by layer and realizing, \"I made this.\" Seeing their own names take shape in 3D made learning personal and meaningful. Students who are usually quiet or hesitant in class became more confident as they explained their designs and helped classmates troubleshoot printing issues. Several students who struggle in traditional academic settings especially thrived, showing leadership, patience, and creativity throughout the process.\r\n\r\nThis project gave students more than a name tag — it gave them ownership, confidence, and a sense of belonging in our STEAM classroom. Your support made it possible for students to see themselves as designers, creators, and innovators. Thank you for investing in their learning and helping them discover what they are capable of creating.","fullyFundedDate":1767507416634,"projectUrl":"project/3d-name-tags-identity-in-innovation/9721809/","projectTitle":"3D Name Tags: Identity in Innovation","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Allemang","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7104064"},{"teacherId":7104064,"projectId":9987827,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my \"Lighting the Way\" project and helping transform our classroom environment. We are already using the new lighting daily to create a calmer, more focused learning space, especially during independent work, design challenges, and hands-on STEM activities. The storage bins have helped keep materials organized and easily accessible, which has improved transitions and reduced downtime. The power cords allow students to safely and consistently use technology without interruption.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new materials, they immediately noticed the difference. Several commented on how much more comfortable and organized the room felt, and many were excited to help set everything up. The improved environment has helped students stay engaged, collaborate more effectively, and take greater ownership of their learning space.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, students will continue using these resources as we work through ongoing STEM projects that involve research, design, and problem-solving. Having a welcoming, well-organized classroom allows us to focus more on creativity and learning rather than distractions. We've been using them during both academic support sessions and team-building activities. One specific project that stands out is our Goal-Setting Journals and Leadership Circle, where students used the materials to set personal, academic, and athletic goals for the semester. Each week, we gather to reflect, support each other, and track our progress — all while reinforcing accountability and positive mindset.\r\n\r\nThe students lit up when they first saw the new supplies. For many of them, having access to brand-new journals, whiteboards, and organization tools made them feel valued and motivated. One student even said, \"It feels like someone believes in us.\" That moment really stuck with me — your support made a real difference in their confidence.\r\n\r\nNext, we're diving into a team research project where student-athletes will study athletes who are leaders on and off the field. They'll use the materials to create presentations that connect character development, goal-setting, and academic achievement. It's all about building well-rounded student-athletes who can lead both in the classroom and in their sport.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity — you've made a lasting impact on our team and our learning environment!","fullyFundedDate":1706324503303,"projectUrl":"project/building-strong-young-adults/8171984/","projectTitle":"Building Strong Young Adults","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Turner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9366899"},{"teacherId":7104064,"projectId":9728105,"letterContent":"When our new lights and posters arrived, my students were immediately curious and excited to see how our classroom would change. Together, we unpacked the boxes and talked about how lighting and atmosphere can affect mood, focus, and creativity. As soon as we set up the floor and hanging lights, the students couldn't stop smiling—they said the room felt \"calm,\" \"cozy,\" and \"like a place you actually want to be.\" The posters added the perfect touch, giving our walls new color and motivation.\r\n\r\nSince setting everything up, the difference has been incredible. Students have been more engaged and relaxed during group discussions and project work. The softer lighting helps reduce distractions, and several students have said they feel more focused and comfortable sharing ideas. It's amazing how these small changes have made such a big difference in their attitude toward learning.\r\n\r\nNext, we're using this new ambiance to spark creativity in upcoming STEM and design challenges. Students are already planning how they can make their work areas reflect their personal style and teamwork goals. Thanks to your support, our classroom has become not just a place to learn—but a place students truly love to be in every day.","fullyFundedDate":1759264777005,"projectUrl":"project/bright-minds-bright-spaces/9728105/","projectTitle":"Bright Minds, Bright Spaces","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Allemang","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7104064"},{"teacherId":8176103,"projectId":8039399,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for generously supporting our classroom!
