Our at-risk, diverse population of 6-8th-grade students has a wonderful, creative atmosphere to create and imagine. With a communal safe space filled with encouragement for everyone, it is truly an amazing place to learn. As my students continue to learn more about graphic design and visual imagery, there is a greater need for a class computer that can help me demonstrate and create video tutorials for students to be successful. A better computer will help me do both of these things better and more effectively than I am currently able to do. This classroom computer would be invaluable as my students continue to express themselves during this challenging time in their academic careers. As we have students consistently still being quarantined at this time because of the COVID virus, the need for clear, well-developed tutorials and demonstrations is even more invaluable.
