Helping our students obtain composters, raised garden beds, and indoor grow lights will greatly help teach our garden club students the full growth process of a plant. They will learn how to grow indoor seedlings, plant them in raised garden beds, and place dead plant material in composters to decompose and become soil. These additional tools will not only deepen their knowledge about organic gardening, but further develop their passion for growing garden plants from seed to full mature plant, complete with a harvest. They will also learn that they have choices when they eat fruits and vegetables; they can choose to buy and grow organic produce free from herbicides and pesticides.
