Through the use of interactive digital tools, students were able to actively participate in project-based assignments that promoted creativity, collaboration, and deeper understanding of academic content. Technology transformed traditional assignments into interactive learning experiences, increasing student motivation and ownership of their work.\r\n\r\nTechnology has also been instrumental in supporting differentiated instruction. By using various digital platforms and tools, I was able to tailor instruction to meet students' individual needs and abilities. This flexibility allowed students to access content in multiple formats, work at their own pace, and receive targeted supports aligned with their learning styles and skill levels.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, technology guided me in developing and implementing appropriate services outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Digital tools made it easier to align instructional activities with specific IEP goals and objectives, ensuring intentional and meaningful support for each student. Progress monitoring became more efficient, as students were able to track their own growth through data, feedback, and visual progress indicators, fostering self-awareness and accountability in their learning journey.\r\n\r\nOverall, the use of technology has strengthened my ability to design purposeful instruction, align activities to student goals, and support measurable growth. I am thankful for the opportunity to learn, apply, and share innovative practices that continue to enhance student learning outcomes and promote equitable access to education for all students.","fullyFundedDate":1768724626687,"projectUrl":"project/technology-access-for-student-success/10034741/","projectTitle":"Technology Access for Student Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nubla","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9377505"},{"teacherId":10099417,"projectId":9996181,"letterContent":"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help in funding my classroom. My students love the seating as they tend to need to wiggle, but still be safe. \r\n\r\nAll of the art supplies have become very useful as we tend to go through markers quickly. They are the choice coloring utensil at the moment. We also love playing games during our SEL time as this helps with taking turns, sharing, and remembering to always have good sportsmanship no matter what. Winning or losing. \r\nI also ordered a laminating machine with sheets. For many of my students, especially those who are still building their confidence as readers, traditional chapter books can feel intimidating. The vibrant illustrations and engaging dialogue of these graphic novels have removed those barriers. They are trading books, discussing what they should read next, and when we can get the next volume in the series. You haven't just given them books; you've given them the gift of seeing themselves as successful readers.\r\n\r\nWhile the books provide the inspiration, the cases of paper provide the foundation. In a busy 3rd-grade classroom, we print everything from math practice sheets and reading graphic organizers to creative writing prompts and assessments. Before this project was funded, I often had to limit what I printed to save resources, including the readings for their tests and homework to help their parents guide their students to become readers outside of school, too. Now, I can ensure that every student has the physical materials they need to follow along with lessons and practice their skills. Having a reliable supply of paper means I can focus my energy on teaching rather than worrying about basic supplies.\r\n\r\nYour support has streamlined our daily operations and ignited a new passion for literacy in my students. Having a clear visual of how much time remains helps students manage expectations, stay on task, and complete assignments with less anxiety and fewer behavioral disruptions.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the timers, they were excited and immediately curious about how they worked. Many students quickly began checking the timer independently instead of asking how much time was left, which increased their independence and confidence.\r\n\r\nAcademically, the timers have helped students persist through challenging tasks and improve work completion. Behaviorally, they have reduced frustration, off-task behaviors, and transition difficulties. These engaging, age-appropriate texts have opened a whole new world of learning for my students. Each issue helps us practice important reading skills such as identifying the main idea, finding key details, making text-to-self connections, and learning new vocabulary in context. The nonfiction topics also spark curiosity and encourage students to ask thoughtful questions about the world around them—skills that are essential for building strong readers and thinkers.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading Time for Kids has become a favorite part of the week. Students gather in small groups to read, discuss, and annotate the articles using highlighters and sticky notes. We focus on using text features like headings, captions, and diagrams to deepen comprehension, and students love sharing their \"wow facts\" during class discussions. The colorful visuals and current, real-world topics make reading come alive in ways that traditional texts sometimes can't.\r\n\r\nSome of my students who were previously reluctant readers are now eagerly flipping through the pages as soon as new issues arrive. One student in particular, who used to struggle to stay engaged during reading, now proudly shares facts about science and animals from Time for Kids with classmates.
